Masa belajar di rumah akan diperpanjang lagi. Siswa di Jawa Timur baru masuk sekolah setelah Lebaran.
Surabayastory.com – Masa belajar di rumah badi para siswa TK, SD, SMP di Jawa Timur akan sangat penjang, dan mungkin akan dikenang sepanjang masa hidupnya. Bila benar nantikan siswa-siswi baru masuk bulan Juni 2020, maka akan genap tiga bulan mereka belajar di rumah. Selama tiga bulan mereka tak menjejak lingkungan sekolah, tak bertemu teman-temannya, tak bertemu gurunya, dan kehilangan “bau” bangku sekolah.
Aktivitas sekolah diliburkan sejak 16 Maret 2020. Aktivitas belajar-mengajar di sekolah di-vakumkan setelah melihat situasi lingkungan yang belum kondusif. Virus covid-19 yang menjadi penyebab penyakit corona suda belum bisa dikendalikan. Hingga hari ini, jumlah pasien yang terjangkit penyakit ini masih meningkat signifikan. Dan tetap berada di rumah dianggap sebagai jalan paling aman.
Hingga hari ini, belum ada kepastian pandemik ini akan berakhir. Di tengah ketidakpastian dan alasan keamanan anak-anak sekolah, Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Timur berencana akan mengeluarkan kebijakan baru tentang masa belajar di rumah. Dari edaran sebelumnya, masa belajar di rumah akan habis 21 April 2020 besok.
Draf surat edaran Gubernur masa perpanjangan belajar di rumah hingga tanggal 1 Juni 2020 pun sudah beredar di masyarakat melalui grup-grup WhatsApp. Kebijakan baru ini mempertimbangkan dua hal; pertama, terkait wabah yang belum mereda di Jawa Timur. Kedua, kegiatan pendidikan dalam kalender pendidikan selama April hingga Juni 2020 ini tidak banyak kegiatan belajar-mengajar siswa dalam kurikulum yang ada. Bila mengacu pada kalender pendidikan, satu hari sebelum Puasa Ramadan sampai dua hari pertama puasa Ramadan (22-25 April) sekolah sudah libur. Dan tanggal 26 April adalah hari Minggu, dan libur. Selanjutnya, tanggal 27 April hingga 19 Mei, siswa SMA/SMK/PK-PLK di Jatim mengikuti pembelajaran fakultatif alias tidak wajib. Pembelajaran fakultatif ini pembelajaran non kurikulum. Berikutnya, tanggal 20 April sampai 1 Juni, libur Idul Fitri. Jadi praktis, palajaran kurikulum nanti bisa kembali efektif tanggal 1 Juni 2020.
Ini adalah masa panjang anak-anak sekolah di Jawa Timur menunggu untuk kembali ke sekolah. Masa pandemi yang tak pasti akhirnya, membuat anak-anak sekolah juga tak pasti kapan bisa kembali bersekolah seperti sedia kala. –sa
